I listened to XM radio when J.S. did his show and there was a Buddy something who programmed the rest of the air time with great standards from the Great American Songbook, songs that would blend thematically with one another, etc. There were rare recordings by familiar artists and new recordings by new artists, on and on. One great song after another.
Recently I rejoined Xm and now get this thing called SeriousSinatra. Jonathan is still great but the rest of the musak is so bland, blase, and seemingly bias playing Frank sinatra jr. over and over, not new songs but the same songs, as is the case with other songs, over and over like they have two dozen albums and they just program those albums and play them. I've heard Frank Sinatra sing the same song more than three times in one day. What can be done, if anyone knows, to bring on the pgram director that was with XM radio before the merger. Buddy something is his name.
