My kombucha stopped making tea - it makes vinegar in a very short time!
I keep two kombucha batches. One is an old-tired-falling-apart mother that makes decent tea in a few days. Another is a light colored 1/2" culture. It's been doing weel for a while BUT THEN it started making vinegar! The two sit side by side in different gallon jars with the same kind and volume of sweet tea. And the younger one seems to skip "good fizzy tea" stage and jumps directly to vinegar!
How can I correct it?
P.S. Our house isn't very warm (67-70F)and the culture doesn't sit for too long.
