I have two practice 6 pounder shots which my father brought back from a range in Canada during WW II. Recently I acquired 2 6 pounder shell casings and their cardboard containers for the shells. I am trying to locate the makers of the shots, which I assume were made in Canada, and the shell casings. Attached are descriptions of both. Any help will be appreciated.

Markings on one projectile are as follows:

1. One side at the top has what appears to be very faintly an arrow pointing towards the base; below that a 0 and below that 55 and below that a small arrow pointing up and immediately below that the number 94. The above mentioned 0 above has off to the right side a small arrow in an O shaped letter. Midway down the shot on the same side there is a large Government Issue arrow pointing up. Below that a smaller arrow pointed down with 05 below it. Further down near the copper collar ring there is a T with a small arrow going up and the number 18 below it. On the opposite side starting at the top there is a very faint I 668, below that a P and below that an R Below that quite clearly is 7 CWT and below that again clearly is a IVT, BS, NSC, 67 and 11/42 the latter which represents the month and year (Nov 1942) in which the projectile was made.

The shell casings themselves have the following markings on the bottom. Using the clock, starting at 11:00 hours there is 6PR with an I below that. Then at 12:00 7 CW. At 4:00 RM/C, at 6:00 1943 (the year the shell casing would have been made). At 7:00 a W with a small arrow below it and below that the number 40. At 9:00 there is CP and below that LOT 9 and below that the Government Issue arrow. More to follow
