I have on hand, A.B.Dick Model 545 ,Serial No 026921, unused
never inked electric, varible speed mimeograph machine. attached sales slip dated 4/4/88.
Having grown up in the last depression, I find it difficult to scrap usable stuf.
Does anyone know of a place to send this machine?
Maybe a museum.
I must dispose of the machine soon. It can be had for crating and shipping costs.

You may be able to donate this unit to a charity organization, who might be interested in auctioning it to raise funds; or to a small local group which needs to make mimeographs.

Thank you for your information,Damian.
I know of no one wanting to make copies with an electric mimeograph machine. I would think ,having electrical service, one would use a computer.
My thought was a type of museum dedicated to
print or library antecedents.

Hi. My wife works for a public school in Queens, NYC. The had a mimeo type machine. Is the one you have the type yoy need to type the stencil or does the machine make the stencil. They are very short on funds but the teachers will not type stencils.
If it needs the typed stencils the only place I could recomend is the Meusem of Communications somewhere in NYC.
AB Dick was a great company and produced great machines. How did you get it?

Hi, if you still have it I would like the machine.

I'm not with a museum or anything but I have a need to make many inexpensive copies.

I share your reluctance to trash usable items. I didn't grow up in the last depression, but it looks as though I may grow old in the next one.

Please let me know what shipping costs would be to Phoenix, AZ 85021. Thanks very much. Scott.
