I have just replaced 6 cylinders on my 520 l engine. About 950 hours ago a factory new engine was installed. 200 hours later 6 cylinders were replaced. All problems are directly related to burnt exhaust valve guides. Engine oil has always ben replace at 30 yours. Can anyone offer specific information about the reason for the cylinder problems. I climb out at 25/25 and fly at 22/22.5. 110 pounds fuel low dring climb. Thanks

The problem is the continental valve guides are junk and they know it. I had the same problem, but replaced the guides and valves with Superior parts and havent had a bit of trouble in over 1000 hours. When I bought the factory new engine from tcm I fretted over doing so but needed a new var crank shaft which came at no extra cost from tcm. Bad move because of the valve guide problem. Be assured I will never buy another part from continental. No matter what tcm says its not the way you are flying your plane, its the junk they sold you. Ive talked to hundreds of people all with the same trouble. Next time buy superior valves and guides they are great. good luck, Captain Bill
