I have been trying to find out about flying patterns of dragonflies. We have a lot of them at our home this year and have seen them flying low near the sidewalk edges and dipping down looking like they are actually touching the pavement as they are flying "buzzing" the edge of the grass. I can't find anything on it and am very curious as to what they are doing. Anyone got an idea?

Dragonflies are semi-aquatic insects. Nymphs are living in water and adults are just flying in gardens/grasses..they are beneficial insects... they love flying specially in grasses... specially, when grasses are near in streams, rivers, and stagnant waters.
