I have an original Spandau 88 with an S on the chamber. I have mannlicher clips and ammo (round head lead) from Old Western Scrounger, but my rifle will not chamber from the clip, will not close by turning the bolt, but will chamber if I load one into the bolt manually single shot. Is it possable I have the wrong bolt head? I have an early round head with repro extractor. Shuld I try the later open bottom head or just take the darn thing to a gunsmith and be done with it?
