I have an old 500 20 guage that i'mvery fond of and would like to continue to use but it is screwing up. When chambering shells it spits the unspent shell onto the ground or kicks it up and it gets tangled up with the shell being ejected.Shooting over , no good when big one stumbles away. Any advice would be appreciated. Mossberg hasn't answered my email yet. Thanks in advance. fred

My advice would be to take a shell put in the chamber and one in the loading column and watch it very closely when you cock and you might see what is making that happen but I have a slight idea of what is making that happen when you cock the gun there is a little pin that goes straight out to eject the shell make sure that isn't messed up
