I have acquired an oval shaped copper plate, 2" by 3" nailed to a wooden block. It has a very old image of a man from the shoulders up. It looks like a negative on the copper plate. Under a magnifying glass the picture is made up of small dots. I would say by the mans attire and other things that it was created in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. I am not quit sure what I have can anyone help me?
Also the wood block is covered in black ink.
