I have a requirement for a certain brand of bearing manufacturer intended for traction motor of light rail train.

I have enquired sales country manager of the manufacturer itself the correct number baaed in their catalog. However the manufacturer still cannot give a price. The manufacturer still want me to identify the equipment in which this bearing is to be use. I ask the country manager of the manufacturer and still he cannot anwer me why do the mother company cannot quote based on their catalog number.

May I know if somebody can give me any idea why is it the manufacturer itself cannot give a price based on their catalog number?
