I have a grandson who is severely delayed (which level of retardation I don't know) He is 11 yrs. old, non-verbal, suffers from cortical blindness, etc. His only enjoyment seems to come from oral stimulation (constant chewing on his shirt.) We've tried bibs, using a chew toy on a lanyard, but invarably his clothing gets extremely wet. Therefore, his teacher and aide, I'm sure, find it annoying to handle him. Of course, as his grandmother, I hate for him to be viewed as repulsive. Any suggestions? memo
