I have a 1996 Cavalier it is running rough I have been told that it could be the fuel filter I cant see one is it in the engine bay or at the back next to the fuel tank

It is in front of the fuel tank mounted to the body or at least thats wer mine is on a 1998 cavalier also try changing spark plugs and wires if havent already
