I found a palm sized rock in New Mexico. It is highly magnetic. It is rdddish brown, a little black, a little brown and gold flakes we thought were pyrite. We cut the rock in half and were shocked a what we saw! It is beautiful!!!! It's silver, gold, black and brown. The silver or gold are oulining the other splotches of color. It is strongly magentic except where it is brown. It streaks gray and brown. From what I hsve seen it is not magnatite. We got excited and thought it was a meteorite. Can you help us identify? We found it near the Kelly Mine in Magdalena, New Mexico. We will be happy to include a picture if you want.

Thanks,
Gloria
