I cannot get straight EP 140 gear oil in Canada. Will have to order from England. Options are: use SAE 90 or a multi-grade (85W140). Which should I use in shiot term until arrival of correct gear oil? Geoff

I'm in B.C. - have found one place I can get a case of 140 (who needs a case? - 12L for US$35 plus shipping) from a place in Oregon plus a couple of others in Frisco & Seattle, that I haven't fully explored.
Don't know the answer to your query about what to do as an alternative. My present solution is don't run the motor.
Maybe we can find some other lost souls & split a case?

Just checked by phone with the San Francisco people. They have Sta-lube 140 for US 8.50 per quart, plus postage by regular mail.
