I believe that my Grandmother (Bobba Jewish) was born in the Dzukija region in 1888. I know that she fled during the Pogroms in the early 1990's
She married my Grandfather Berol Vingrad from Grodno Belarus and landed in Glasgow Scotland in 1906.
I am trying desperately to finish her biography and need information from her childhood.
We think her maiden name was Zack or similiar and We know that my great Grandfather was a builder. They were orthodox Jews. The name that I have on her papers is Sakiell, it is now obvious that this was "Anglicised" from Dzukija.
Her Brothers name of Zach was anglicised to Jackson and Vinograd to Grant.
Any information on my family history will be greatfully appreciated.
