On May 10, 1869, as the last spike was driven in the Utah desert, the blows were heard across the country. Telegraph wires wrapped around spike and sledgehammer transmitted the impact instantaneously east and west. In San Francisco and New York, wires had been connected to cannons facing outward across the ocean. When the signal from the spike came through, the cannons fired. The world was put on notice: the transcontinental railroad was completed and America was moving to the forefront of the world's stage.
Transcontinental railway got some Indians to get business for them by giving ‘shows’ or acting out battle scenes and doing their dances around the fire with important business men watching and taking reports to publish when they return home.

MINE SARTS OUT LIKE........In the month of May, and in the year of 1869 the Transcontinental Railroad was celebrated in Utah, were the golden spike was hammered into the ground. The golden spike was know as the last spike to go into the ground to finish the Railroad, this spike was so precious they are honoring it as a reminder of the Transcontinental Railroad and how everyone worked so hard to build it. BUTT DONT COPY IT BC I HAVE ALLREADY TALKED TO THE PEOPLE THAT OWN THE THING AND THE JUDGES AND I READ MINE TO THEM ALLREADY SOO THEY WILL KNOW THAT UR CHEETING OK??PS.. TELL ME IF U LIKED IT BC I WANT A OPION ABOUT IT.
