I am wondering why the new Explorer has so much less cargo space than the competition even though physically its as large or larger. This really puzzles me because I am considering purchasing one but like the cargo space of the other vehicles such as the Mazda CX-9 and Toyota Highlander just one example. In fact even the Flex has more. My 2004 Mercury Mountaineer had more. Where did the space go expecially since it now uses a transvese mounted engine?
