I am trying to trace the records of a British soldier who died in Iceland during the British occupation of 1940-42. His name was Vipers (or a variant of that name) and his initial was J (he was known as Jack). His parents came from Plaistow in east London but were bombed out of their home early in 1940 and spent some time in Tunbridge Wells before he was called up. Any information will be gratefully received.
