I am trying to put together a shadow box about my father who was a GMSC USN during WW II and korea. My question is the khaki uniform chevron is bark bllue w/ a khaki background and 4 dark blue service stripes. His dress blue is gold stripes adn gold chevron. I dont remmeber if the khaki uniform should have gold strips witha khaki background or is it just the dark stripes with teh khaki backgroup. I also need to find a 5 sleeve stripe of the dark blue on khaki. On the dress blue uniform, I am missing the silver star that goes above the chevron. Doe anyone know where I can find any of these items.. i have searched and searched but cannot find.... suggestions??
