I am trying to get information relating to an entry on a 1851 London census document. It relates to one of my relatives, a Joseph Rayner. In the section where information should be give about where Joseph was born, it states the following.....

"Sheep Sand" civil parish of St Leonard. Does anyone have any information relating to where, or what, Sheep Sand refers to.

Any information would be gratefully received.
