I am trying to find out which Halifax P/O Peter Candler was in when he was killed on the 1000 bomber raid on Cologne, 30/31 May 1942.I believe 3 Halifaxes were lost that night. I was told he had an Observer wing ("O" not "N") and that he was in Coastal Command, having earlier flown on Hudsons. It would be great if anyone can tell me where the a/c lost that night were based.

Flt Lt P T Candler was actually part of the crew of Wellington Z1208 QT-S of 142 Sqdn. All buried in Rheinberg cemetery.
