I am reading a book written by W.J. Seymour where he states the following: "Wherever the doctrine of the baptism in the Holy Spirit will only be known as the evidence of speaking in tongues,that work will be an open door for witches and spiritualist."

Yet,I read another articles that says that one of their main believes was the the evidennce of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in toungues? Question: Which one is it? Was it that they began tongues as being evidence and then evolve into a new doctrine or vise versa? Please help, I am writing a thesis on the history of the Azusa Street Revival.

Also, Where else can I find credible articles? is the original constitution and by laws availabe for examination?

In Article I of the constitutions, he says that the purpose for the corporation in the interest of and for the benefit of the colored people of the State of California? Do you think this is part of the reason why there was so much division whites and black, or was this just the best way to avoid racism to infiltrate the ministry and destroy it. so that for the greater good, they kept whites from being director?
