I am not very experienced and intellegent about government and democracy. I have an American Government class at school and it asks us to do a 500 word essay on whether or not de Tocqueville was right or wrong to be concerned about the tendency to exchange quality for freedom, and the dangers of big government. When I read Democracy in America, it seemed he spoke that equality and freedom go hand in hand. Any thoughts? I appreciate any help at this point. Thank you.
