I am having one of these fitted this Wednesday, but my friend who also has one, has lost the threads. If the threads go up inside the womb, how is it removed when the times comes please?.

Your doc will do a Q&A session before they actually insert the IUD... that is a good time to ask her/him questions. I had mine done almost 2 weeks ago and check my strings every few days (i'm an obsessed newbie). The strings start to soften up and curl around in your Vag... my doc told me they would eventually curl up around my cervix.

I definitely recommend taking ADVIL or Motrin before you go though.... it will help a LOT! good luck
