I am having a little temper issue with a 9mth asian water monitor i just purchased. my husbandry is by the book and feedings are going ok, but he is so defencively aggressive, jumping to bite, vomiting, and pooping. Is this normal and is there anything i can do to help lower his stress level. I have had him 9 days. any help would be great.

Why did'nt you get a Komodo Dragon Instead?.......A Water Monitor,..Keep him fed with a regular diet of what HE LIKES THE MOST,....And give him lots of space for the time being,....They get Pissed at any thing in THEIR AREA,that includes people,...It will take a while before he calms down, and be patient,....Feed him with a treat every now and then,and be around him in the early morning, or late afternoon, just to let him know you are there,...After several weeks, he should start to change his attitude.
