I am currently a student at UW-Milwaukee and I am majoring in criminal justice. Two months after I turned 18 (still in high school) I made the dumbest mistake of my life by driving drunk. I ended up getting pulled over for failure to use my turn signal properly and received a DUI. My record has been clean ever since then and I have learned a lot about my actions from the required classes the court ordered me to attend. I guess my question is will having that dui on my record eliminate my opportunity on finding a job in the criminal justice field? I want to be able to go on to get my masters degree but It's too risky to take another two years of student loans if I won't be able to find job placement.
