I am carrying our research into the RFA Reliant (A84) 1957. I have access to the original owners' (The Ropner Shipping Company) records and have a pretty full history until her transfer to the RFA. Initially I would like to know the following,
What was her actual sale date to the RFA. How much did the RFA pay for the ship. Where did she serve following her commission on 11.8.57 as RFA Somersby.
Plus any further information that may be of interest especially her early deployments.

Hi, I am in Luton and ~District model boat club, and as club boat we have MV Somersby. We believe she is the original test tank hull used before she was built for hull trials. there is a pic of her here http://www.lutonmodelboat.co.uk/frame_venues.html
she is currently undergoing refurbishment, but it is a long drawn out business. We also believe that this is the only model built of her to our knowledge
