Sodium silicate

I am a potter and am trying to make a clay body suitable for throwing on the wheel which will have a very high dry strength. I have tried starch with some success and paper fiber which also helps but makes the clay un throwable. Sodium silacate is used in ceramics as a deflocculant perhaps in larger percentages it can be used to strongly bind clay as well. Any knowledge of this? What percentages to use or anything helpful?
