Our grand-father name is kind off a little here. it should be Saleh Mba-Fumu Ali Said and not Salim/Salum but Said. My brother who saw another document on our grandfather says its not Salim/Salum but Said. Thus, the name for my grandfather should read as Saleh Mba-Fumu Ali Said Ali. We are still looking for more information on the continuous of the name as to wether it is Mba-Fumu Ali Said Ali (Ibn Hussein/Husan) or (bin Said Omar). The story from my grandmother Maryam wa Mshangama includes and always talked about The Sultan Tibe and especially Mhaza wa Kaleheza who was married off to Mussa Fumu. This lady she has quite a history as told by my grandmother.

A descendant of Musa Fumu waFey Fumu and Mba Fumu waJumbe Fumu and the old ancient story. This family comes with an old favorite history, which is told by most household of Comoro descendant living in Zanzibar, about the origin of Mba-foum descendants. The legends said that during the time of the prophet Suleiman/Solomon or King Solomon, Jinns (genie) were jailed in different Islands around the African continent. The prophet Suleiman/King Solomon was given a power by God to be able to jail these Jinns. Hence, after King Solomon dynasty, these Jinns were no longer or not known of. That part of the history from King Solomon ended and so the Jinns were forgotten. But, some of these Jinns, who were jailed in the Islands of Comoro continued to populate the Island and reigned as royal, when the boat carrying seven sultans (princes) arrived in Comoro. The history from my ancestors goes on to say that, when the Jinns saw the destitute travelers, they took the form of people and went to their dhows (ships) and helped them to the land. They appeared as people, as living being as the travelers were. The place they landed was called Mbajini. The seven Sultans, when they felt better the morning after, they asked for a mosque, so that they can pray. There were no muslims in the island; hence, there was no mosque. But, when the sultans wanted to pray in the morning, the mosque appeared. This mosque is said to be there today in this present century and is one of heritage places as recognize by and (together with other five sites collectively proposed by) UNESCO World Heritage site

Asalaam alaykum,
Hello ,my name is Aliamani Abdulrahim Abdillah Msafoum, born in Zanzibar.
Please communicate with me in regarding this issue of Musa Fum wa Feyfum (I am 99% sure this person is my greatgrandfather)
I know my father's grandfather is Msafoum wa Feyfoum (this is how we spell) as shown in all of my fathers documents.
I went to Comoro 38 yeas ago and stay with my uncle
Ali Abdillah Msafoum at this house called "JUMBE" (which means Palace even did not resemble one) in Moroni just attached to the main mosque and it did say a lot on who am I, but as a naive young man I did not take much interest into my family history and it is just about 12 years ago I started to develop an interest of tracing my family tree and today I came acoss this page and found you .Please reply so we can talk more. Very interesting
