I am 62 years old I could remember as a child nurses going from door to door in a boat giving children shots. I want to know what caused the flood. I think it was between 1953 - 1958. It was what is called old Metairie Louisiana now, off Causeway blvd between Airline Hwy and Jefferson Hwy. I tried researching it but I came up with nothing.
