IS THIS A VIOLATION OF THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT?
Hi Everyone,
My mum has been working for about 4 years for an X company The situation is the following. The department in which she wroks has at this moment 5 employees, however most of the time she works her shift practically with no help. She starts at 5:00 AM and sometimes the personal who is supposed to work with her starts at 11:00 AM and sometimes they start at 1:00 PM( 30 minutes before my mum finishes her shift ). Now, it's been almost 5 weeks the department introduced a new shift that starts at 8:00 AM, which means that my mum have been working with no help 3 hours every day in the last 4-5 weeks.The job my mum does needs at least two persons to be well done and in a timely manner, but it seems that the "team work" is no longer one of the policies of this company. Any advise would be really appreciate it. Thank you very much!
