Just ask a Tibettan or a native Taiwanese [ there actually a few of these polynesian people left, they were entirely genocided...yet ] That's "faan ching fuk ming" in action in it's purest form and what Chinese immigrants who have taken this oath swear to towards the people of whatever country allowed them to come to. I have done alot of TV and movie work in Hong Kong and I assure you that any Chinese person knows what this means though they will almost always say they don't.

Replied to:  Just ask a Tibettan or a native...
"Faan ching fuk ming"(it means returning to the governance of Ming Dynasty...)was a political slogan 300 years ago when uprising occured in China. And their political aim was to overturn the government of Ching Dynasty. It has nothing in relation to Tibettan or Taiwanese. The uprising and the slogan reflected the wish of poor people to change their social status.
