How much is the rent for an apartament in the queensbridge projects? is it just on rent or sale too? and how long does it takes for the application?
p.s. is the area really bad?

Rent, from what i know, is dependent on the household income. if the income is fairly low, then the rent is low. if the rent is fairly high, then the rent might be a little high. there is no sale from what i know.
application.. pheww... i heard it takes quite a while, but its not that you specifically choose which area you want to live in. as the website lists, it is owned by the new york city housing authority (NYCHA) NYCHA owns a couple of developments throughout new york city, including staten island. so when you apply, NYCHa finds an open spot in any available development, and places you there.
the neighbor has a bad reputation, yes. but its all about who and what you get yourself involved with. you can keep to yourself and quite possibly maintain a few good acquaintances. as long as do don't get involved with the bad apples of the neighborhood, then you'll be fine.
