It's pronounced 'streegoy.' Yes, you basically have it right.
What is your understanding of strigoi? Have you ever heard of 'uboir'? I'm wondering if they're a type of strigoi. I read somewhere that Nosferatu are a type of strigoi that can never take on the human form--is that your understanding? It was fiction I was reading and I can't find the word Uboir or a reference to it anywhere.
