Well, maybe her artwork reflected some parts of the renaissance. I know that as a woman, she did not have the same oppurtunities as men artiste, and she had to waork that much harder. She did however do very well, working with michelangelo and at the spanish court. She didnt do any religious paintings, and that was unusual for her time. :) im not sure maybe someone else will elaborate more...
