Ever hear of a permanent-magnet gear-reduction starter?
The field coils sre gone,& the magnets line the inner case
of the starter.Once the armature starts spinning,the field is set.I'm talking in respect to a space station application.Magnets,though, are the way to generate artificial gravity! You bet!I'm sure John has a lot more
