Dear Mark,
I am emailing you because I believe that the whole world needs to know that Toyota is not the only car company with big problems.
I have a 1996 Honda Accord. I was sitting at a stop light and my airbags deployed in my face for no reason. There was no accident. When we told Honda they told us to' F--- off. I am persuing this legally but I tought you should make the public aware that there is a big problem with the Honda airbags. Either they don't go off when they're supposed to or (in my case) they go off for no reason at all. I bought my car brand new @ Norm Reeves Honda in Huntington Beach in 1996. At 10 years they are supposed to check the airbags but when I took my car in for the 10 year major tuneup ,they said nothing about checking my airbags and now I find out that you have to pay $100 to have them checked out. That is absurd!AT any rate, They said nothing to me about the need to check them @ 10years.I don't have to ask them to do what they do when I have a tune up.At the time of any tune up ,the rep comes in or calls you and tells you if anything else is wrong with your car and give you the option to have it fixed. I did not get that opportunity. As a result of this wrongful airbag deployment, I have suffered severe headaches, Neck problems and back problems from this freak accident. I believe that Honda is responsible or the manufactorer of the sensor that accompanies the airbag to tell it when to deploy. In my case, there was NO REASON! I beg you to get this info out there on the news as there are so many 1990-1999 Hondas still on the road. If this happens to someone when there are driving , someone is gonna die!!!!
