I am a Christian Lesbian; 64 years young. Born and raised in a time when homosexuality was perceived as pure sick and pure sin. As a Christian, realizing I was gay was a time of torment for I loved the Lord, but I also wanted a loving relationship with a woman. I did not realize I was lesbian till 1973, when I was 27, but had been tormented my entire life because I knew that I was not like the other girls. In 1973 there were no books to help and certainly no clergy. I found peace with my sexual orientation and with God through prayer and God's Grace. I just could not identify my feelings and behavior with the 'clobber' passages in the Bible.
