Many historians have analyzed the reasons why Bonnie and Clyde have become heroic and admired figures in pop culture. Some historians, such as E.R. Milner, believe that people who consider themselves cultural outsiders, or marginalized, identify with Bonnie and Clyde.

At the time many felt that Bonnie and Clyde were 'striking back' against a corrupt and failing capitalist system.

Agreed,but at the same time they were in the great depression.many people were desperate and did desperate things.many people got just plain mean and cold hearted by this.with bonnie and espesialy clyde,this went to the extreme.
