So I'm a huge fan of Peter Gabriel and I'm learning to become a producer. I've been listening to his CDs, just analyzing the different techniques used to create those wonderful sounds that we call songs.



I ran across "Red Rain" and I simply am amazed by it. I can't, however, figure out how they made that song sound so wonderful with the effects on the instruments.



I was wondefing if anyone knows what kind of reverb was used in each instrument and what was the technique for panning each element and its reverb. Also, where does each element sit on the grid, closer vs. farther from the listener?
