Hi my Name is Brian Bowen and I moved to the Rhondda in 1950
from London and lived at no 6 Pontrhondda Avenue Llynypia,
I attended Bodringallt Secondry Modern School in Ystrad for 4 Years Forms 1-4c until I left School .
I also lived in a House called "Tynwedd" at Brick Row now renamed,Ystrad
Some of the Names I remember Were Alan(Talbot)Davies, Peter Thomas , Vivian (Shannon)Hinkin, Meryl Knight,Nellie Cowley ,Michael o'Flerity all in form c.also in Form a were Colin Sweeny Mansell Nash Brian Walby ,Lilian Rosser,Colin Hancock.
and my pal Brian Dee sadly deceased
I Also worked in Owen's Bakery both in School and as a full job Any body in the Valley remember any thing
,I also belonged to the Tonypandy and District CTC Cycle Club.I returned back to London in 1959 after my Family returned in 1958 .Would love to hear from anybody There is one School chum that I have heard from John Evans who still lives in Llwynypia hopefully Brian Bowen
