Hi. I had an operation to remove fibroids ( they had to open me up and they cut me vertically)there were about 3 large fibroids I was told to wait a year before trying for a baby.

We then tried for a baby and were successful quite quickly and I went on to have a very easy pregnancy but because of the operation I had to have a c-section at 38.5 weeks.

The c-section was quite difficult due to previous scarring and I lost alot of blood, but recovered quickly and the baby was fine. Check-ups have shown that everything is ´normal´ but my doctor told me to wait at least 2 years before trying for another baby.

Has anyone else experienced this? Would having another baby be risky? I really would like another one, but am worried about the risks to myself and the baby
