Hi, My name is Stuart, and I have been looking into my family history and I would like to ask if any one can help me with some information on the Amalgamated Engineering Union of 1940 - 43. I have been told that my mother Marion Paterson Robertson was one of the first women to be made a shop steward for the AEU on Clydeside, she was also asked to attend the Conference of women that was held on Tuesday, 28th September 1943 at the Albert Hall London.
