Hi,
I live in southern spain and recently i found some scabs on my dogs which look like they were caused by an insect bite. I then saw an insect in my house which had yellow stripes (not a bee). When i looked up what it could be i found that it looked like a type of sandfly.
I then took my dogs to the vet but he said that they were just insect bites which had been infected and gave them some antibiotics. I am not convinced with his diagnosis and am worried they may have leishmaniasis although they have no other symptoms. I am also worried that my family and i are at risk.
Help please!
