Hi,

Can anyone tell me what are we achieving from Total Internal Reflection? I am not able to understand this concept at all, Whenever a light enters certain media it goes into 2 process, Reflection and Refraction , thats fine but what are we achieving from this? and why this critical angle , etc concepts are coming?
