Hi,I had a Carotid endarterectomy in August 2008.
In December my cholesterol level was 3.4 and my doppler scan was normal.
I have just had another doppler scan and blood test,the doppler scan shows a narrowing of between 30-40% and my cholestrol now is 5.8
My doctor has precribed another cholestrol tablette and I will see him again in 1 month.
I was under the impression that it will be a good couple of years before the carotid blocks again.
Why is the plaque building up so quick ?
Will it be possible to get another endarterectomy ?
