Hello all, My question is how can I get on to a boat as a steward? I currently hold my TWIC card and MMD but have no sea time. I know there are numerous schools I could go to but they would be a waste of money considering Im deaf in my right ear and cant work on deck.

A friend of mine mentioned something about taking a basic safety course and that might help. Would he be right about that? I know being a steward isn't really shooting for the stars but I just want to get some sea time under my belt. Any suggestions?
