Hello I am trying to find out the History of working Sheperds in the Alzey region in the 1820's to the 1830's. Birth records for my Great, Great Grandfather list his fathers occupation as Shepherd. Ofcourse everytime I try to reseach it I get a picture of the dog German Shepherd!
