Hello,
Today, Alismataceae include the genera of Limnocharitaceae (by the APG III). However, a new proposal of a Classification System was suggest by Reveal (2012). He says these genera should not to be in Alismataceae and they should be return to Limnocharitaceae family. My question: What synapomorphies does have Alismataceae and "Limnocharitaceae"? They should not be sufficient to separate them as distinct families?
thank you.
