Hello,

I need some information about Lake Atitlán in the 50ies and 60ies.
Does anyone know:
a) when the motorboats started crossing the lake?
b) which materials the houses in the little villages (San Pedro, San Marcos, Santa Cruz) were built with in those times?
c) when the tourism at the lake began? when did the first hippies show up to stay there?
d) anything about the involvement of the lake's villages in the civil war (besides the massacre of Santiago de Atitlán in the early 90ies, which I already know about)?
e) if there were any guerrilla-activities in those villages or in the mountains close to the lake?

So far for today. I'd really appreciate your help. It would be cool if anyone could answer at least one or another of these questions. Thanx.
